Crookes and Crosspool Councillors Ruth Milsom and Minesh Parekh, and Hallam MP Olivia Blake met with Royal Mail regional managers on 29 February 2024, following complaints from residents about irregular and delayed letter deliveries.

They presented findings from a survey of residents, including a number of cases where people have missed appointments or hospital letters because letters have been delivered late.

The Royal Mail representatives held their hands up, admitting that delivery services from the Tapton Hill Delivery Office have not been up to scratch.

Olivia, Ruth, and Minesh insisted that a plan of action be brought forward as soon as possible, to bring services back to the level customers expect.
